THEATRE
SCHOOL
Classes
are held year-round for students in pre-K through 12th grade. Our
Theatre School program caters to the needs of students from age
3 through the 6th grade. During the school year, three 6-week after
school sessions are held using story-based themes to learn theatre
skills and life skills. The fourth 6-week session is available to
K through 6th grade students who have participated in at least one
of the first three sessions and takes students from the audition
process through to a technically supported production on MCT’s
Davis Theatre I stage.
Summer programs are also available, with two-week class sessions
meeting each morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. In addition to
drama, visual arts, music and dance are featured, with instruction
not only from MCT’s education staff, but also professionals
in the other areas of fine arts.
Another Theatre
School program is Spring Break Fine Arts Camp. This Pickwick Players
fundraiser is a day camp during spring break in which Pickwick Players,
supervised by Bill Williams and Judith Giebler, work with elementary
school-aged campers to create an incredible showcase for parents
and friends on the last day of camp.
